15 May 2025 From research to industry: ASTM at CERN in Geneva for an event on real-time Big Data processing
On 22 and 23 May at CERN in Geneva, the world’s largest particle physics laboratory, the event “SMARTHEP Meets Industry @ CERN” will be held, organised by Confindustria Piemonte in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Hub Piemonte, Fondazione Piemonte Innova and the partners of the European project SMARTHEP, within the EEN (Enterprise Europe Network).
More specifically, SMARTHEP is a project born from the synergy between universities of excellence and companies to develop advanced technologies for real-time processing of Big Data in scientific and industrial fields. These solutions are applicable in strategic sectors such as:
- mobility & aerospace
- smart manufacturing & industry 4.0
- energy management
- health
- finance & insurance
The event is an invaluable opportunity to cross specialist expertise, creating new connections aimed at exploring innovative solutions for process optimisation and advanced data analysis. The two days, which are mainly technically oriented, are intended to foster technology transfer from research to industry. More than twenty companies have been selected to participate and SINELEC, technology arm of ASTM Group will be there, happy to take part in an initiative strongly charged with in innovation.
