New administrative hub in Novara: Sinelec in charge of systems installation

A new, modern and sustainable administrative hub immersed in greenery will take shape in the area of the former military complex Cavalli in Novara. The project, valued at approximately €22 million, has been awarded to the temporary business group composed of Sinelec and ARCAS.

The initiative represents a key milestone in the city’s urban regeneration, shaping a functional and contemporary center capable of hosting many public offices that are currently dispersed in outdated locations. The redevelopment of the former barracks will return a historical site, currently abandoned, to the community, transforming it into an efficient and accessible space.

Within the scope of the contract, Sinelec will handle the design and installation of the mechanical and electrical systems, providing solutions that ensure the highest standards of comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. The mechanical systems include high-efficiency mechanical ventilation, direct expansion air-conditioning units, equipment for server rooms, and new fire-fighting systems, including advanced technologies for archives. The electrical and special systems include new low-smoke, low-toxicity power mains, structured data networks, smoke detection, EVAC sound systems, intrusion prevention, video surveillance, and video intercoms to secure spaces and access points. The project also includes the installation of a photovoltaic system, approved by the heritage authorities and fully integrated with the architectural context, to increase the share of energy produced from renewable sources.

This initiative transforms technology into public value, demonstrating how innovation applied to infrastructure can become a driver of urban development and shared value for the community.
