Sinelec at the ITS World Congress in Atlanta: International Dialogue on Connected Mobility

Sinelec participated in the ITS World Congress 2025 in Atlanta, the leading international event for intelligent mobility (ITS). During the congress, Sinelec took part in the panel “Practical Use of Production Grade Connected Vehicles in the US and Europe” with a presentation delivered by Sebastiano Spanò, Head of Business and Project Management Unit – ITS.

The discussion compared experiences between the United States and Europe on different types of vehicle-to-infrastructure communication: from V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle communication) to V2I2V (where information passes from the infrastructure to a vehicle and is then relayed to others, useful for coordinating traffic or alerting multiple vehicles simultaneously), up to V2X which allows vehicles to exchange information with everything around them, making driving increasingly safe and efficient. The panel also provided insights on real-world deployments, future perspectives and the role of car makers and technology providers in building cooperative ecosystems.

Sebastiano Spanò shared Sinelec’s hands-on experience as a key player in the European ITS market, presenting concrete use cases. In particular, Sinelec highlighted its expertise in deploying Roadside Units (RSUs)—a critical element for ITS operation—and in leveraging the C-ITS Emeras platform, Sinelec’s software solution that enables vehicle-to-infrastructure communication as an advanced tool for intelligent road infrastructure management.

Engaging with professionals from other markets and international organizations proved to be a valuable source of inspiration and new ideas, confirming that dialogue is essential in an open innovation approach. Through this participation, Sinelec reaffirms its commitment to being actively involved in the most important discussions, helping shape the future of ITS technology and innovative solutions for safer, more efficient and more connected mobility.
