Sinelec marks strategic kickoff in Brazil with a technical forum

As the technology arm of the ASTM Group — the world’s second-largest motorway operator — Sinelec develops advanced technological systems for transport infrastructures on an international scale. Since expanding its operations to Brazil in 2024, the company has focused on introducing cutting-edge solutions designed to digitalize and modernize the country’s motorway network, tailoring its global expertise to the specific needs of the local market.

In line with this ongoing expansion, Sinelec recently hosted the technical forum “The Beginning of Our Journey” in Brazil. Conceived as a technical and discussion forum, the meeting provided an opportunity to explore the evolution of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and to address the specific needs and trends of the Brazilian context. The agenda combined presentations and open dialogue, encouraging the exchange of perspectives among operators, government bodies and Sinelec.

The event featured contributions from industry representatives including Roger Pêgas (ARTESP), Cleber Chinelato (Motiva), Cristiano Mendonça (EcoRodovias), Rodrigo Zambon (Pedágio Digital) and Massimiliano Selva (Sinelec). Several major concessionaires were also in attendance, among them Grupo EcoRodovias, Triunfo Transbrasiliana, SPMAR, Motiva, Entrevias, Arteris, Concessionária Novo Litoral, Grupo EPR, Nova Infra Invest, Rota Mogiana, alongside other operators active in the sector.

Sinelec described its current focus on implementing Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF), Weigh In Motion (WIM), Structural Health Monitoring Systems and Advanced Traffic Management Solutions (ATMS) on the Brazilian motorway market.
