SINELEC S.p.A., as a member of a temporary grouping of companies with Aesys SpA and Isaf Costruzioni srl, has been awarded the tender issued by the “Consorzio per le Autostrade Siciliane” (CAS) for the enhancement of ITS systems and the realization of a new Operational Control Center. The project consists of the implementation of roadside ITS devices and their integration into an ATMS platform, improving traffic flow and road safety.
The introduction of SINCRO, SINELEC’s software solution specifically designed to support operators in the management of road infrastructures, will allow the advanced management of events by monitoring the entire motorway section, informing users and coordinating operations in both ordinary and emergency conditions.
SINCRO offers a simple, complete single-pane-of-glass through which operators can see the information collected by ITS devices and effectively govern even complex scenarios. An event detected by the video surveillance system will be managed from the Control Center with standard response procedures, thus optimizing intervention times and communication to users through the activation, for example, of dynamic message signs.
