Sinelec will realize the new Traffic Operating Centre for the A4 Brescia-Padova and A31 Valdastico

Sinelec will carry out the construction of the new Traffic Mobility Operating Centre for the A4 Brescia-Padova and A31 Valdastico motorway sections managed by A4 Holding, an Abertis Group company concessionaire in Italy of 235 km of motorway network in the north-east. Sinelec will implement SINCRO platforms, an advanced traffic management system, and EMERAS, the platform for connected mobility, as well as supplying roadside V2X devices and revamping the Control Room Videowall.

SINCRO will allow for advanced management of events, scenarios, processes and interventions, giving the operating manager and room operators an overview of the information collected by the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSs) devices along the route. Thanks to standardised and customisable response procedures, SINCRO, a software solution based on Sinelec‘s expertise that understands the specific needs of the road operator, provides immediate support in the decision-making process, which allows for the optimisation of response and intervention times, as well as a customised reporting system for case studies.

EMERAS, on the other hand, is Sinelec’s C-ITS platform, which was created to respond to the technological and operations challenges operators face in the transition to connected and cooperative mobility, enabling real-time two-way vehicle-infrastructure dialogue and guaranteeing integration with road ITSs and traffic control centres. EMERAS collects and aggregates information relating to the current scenario and, considering the risk factors, immediately activates the designated response plan, dispatching geo-localised messages addressed to authorised vehicles, “just in time, in the right place”.

It is a project under the name of innovation and technological future for a new concept of intelligent and interconnected mobility.
